How to install and setup

How to install CDEK application?
The app can be found and installed using Shopify app store. Another way to install the app is using the Installation link https://shop-app.cdek.ru/ where you will be asked to indicate your shopify site URL and push «Install» button
How to setup CDEK application?
a. Right after installing the app go to «Setting»


b.Set the General setting first

  • Company address is used as shipping origin and appear on your invoices.
  • Warehouse address is used to indicate address for a courier to pick up cargo for shipping. Setting is applicable only if your store based in Russia
  • Units measurement: Currency setting is set automatically according to Shopify store setting and must be the same as indicated in your CDEK contract.

c. Set delivery modes and price plans that will be available for calculating delivery cost for your customers.
Rate adjustment will increase delivery cost for customers


d. Set shipment dimensions
Since Shopify store has no package dimensions setting for most of the countries and CDEK calculator requires package dimensions it is necessary to set at least one default package to get correct shipping rates and create a shipping order.
You can add your standard shipment dimensions here or set them manually each time you create an order.

e. Set account and secure
Technically both accounts can be used for submitting shipping orders. We recommend using test account and secure parameters specified in Data Exchange Protocol (v1.5) at the very beginning to make sure that the app works. Right after making sure everything works switch on to the live account using your personal account and secure parameters.

CDEK Delivery Shopify app offers Express Courier Delivery Service across the border.The time and price of delivery depend on parameters of the cargo and the type of transport.
The application is available to CDEK corporate contract customers. Even though if you are still considering to be the one you can test and set the application using a test account specified in the documentation Data Exchange Protocol (v1.5)
CDEK Delivery Shopify app supports English language.

Settings

What does company and address stand for?
The address should match the actual store location which is equal to Shopify general store details and store address settings. This address is used to calculate shipping rates and will appear on invoices. You may also set other values.
P.S. we recommend to double check city value and if necessary adjust it in accordance with the dropdown list of cities suggested by CDEK
What is warehouse address used for?
Warehouse address is used to indicate address for a courier to pick up cargo for shipping.
May I set up several warehouse points?
Yes, you may set up several warehouse addresses and request a courier to pick up cargo from any of them.
What measurement units should I set up?
For correct rates calculation we strongly recommend using system values set by default equal to Shopify store settings
May I set any extra fees to primary CDEK pricing?
Base CDEK fare can be modified by the rate adjustment setting (Settings-Shipping products) adding extra charge to customer’s shipping cost.
What are shipment dimensions used for?
CDEK calculator requires package dimensions. It is necessary to set at least one default package to request correct shipping rates and create a shipping order.

Shipping orders

What is a Shipping order?
Shipping order is a Shopify store order based request for delivery.
No, CDEK «Orders» page shows only open Shopify store orders with CDEK delivery and without any pre-set shipping provider.
Besides regular CDEK statuses the application also has:
New – open Shopify store orders without any pre-set shipping provider and pre-set CDEK delivery orders received online from customers
Expired – outdated Created shipping order
Error – declined CDEK order registration request
Draft – any of the above mentioned shipping orders edited and saved.
Information on «Created» (accepted by CDEK) shipping orders is stored in the CDEK system up to 30 days from the date of acceptance for the live account and one day for the test account and secure parameters specified in Data Exchange Protocol (v1.5). Therefore, a request for creating shipping orders must be sent before the actual shipment of the goods.
Manually deleted expired, error, draft and created shipping orders will be reset to the initial value and appear as new in the list of Shipping orders.
In case of deletion created shipping orders will be also removed from CDEK database.
If a relevant Shopify store order is archived or deleted, a CDEK shipping order will disappear from CDEK application if there is no cargo movement in the CDEK warehouse.
Sender’s address can be changed only in app Settings. After applying the changes, the new sender’s address will appear in all new shipping requests.
Created, expired, error, draft shipping orders will still have previous Sender’s address. Newly modified Sender’s address will appear in case of deletion converting all shipping requests into new ones.
Newly created package will be saved in the list of packages on the «Settings» page right after a shipping order will be submitted and created.

Courier requests

How do I arrange my CDEK packages collected by a courier?
To schedule a courier visit, please use a «Courier request» button and a CDEK courier will collect packages from your store or business premises. A courier request function is available for only Created shipping orders delivered from Russia&CIS.
How do I manage my courier requests?
Courier requests can be neither edited nor deleted.
Does the system support group courier requests?
Yes, it is possible to create courier requests one by one or combine several shipping orders into one courier request.
What happens when I delete a shipping order attached to a courier request?
A deleted shipping order will be excluded from a current courier request. A courier request will be updated in terms of number of orders and total weight information.
